The cooperative survival shooter was announced in February of this year. The head of the developer Fun Dog Studios, Miles Williams, said that he and his colleagues strive to make the game such that every battle is difficult, but every defeat in it becomes a lesson for the player.
This is planned to be implemented through rewards for players who strive to fight smarter, not harder, as well as maintain situational awareness of their surroundings.
Despite the constant increase in the hero's power, players will still feel like a “mouse in a maze”, and in order to survive they will have to actively interact with each other.
In the world of The Forever Winter, players will be confronted by terrifying, huge war machines involved in a large-scale conflict. A dynamic combat system is announced, where enemies react to your actions, which is why the situation is always different and is not repeated.
The game does not yet have a release date, as well as a final list of platforms. Initially, the release is planned on PC on Steam, and then the authors will build on the public’s interest in the project.
