Original article from April 24, 2024: Even though it may have been a few days ago: The second patch for the remasters of Tomb Raider 1-3 made changes that were only subsequently discovered by attentive users.
That was patched out
PCGH already reported on April 12th about the major update 2 for Tomb Raider Remastered. The changelog sounded harmless at the time, including new outfits with a leopard theme and changes to the photo mode. It was only afterwards that attentive users found out that even more had been changed than was stated in the changelog. The first indication was on X, where a user spoke of censorship for the first time. Specifically, it's about well-known and quite suggestive pin-up posters of the main character Lara Croft, which can be found in the fourth level of the third game. Thanks at this point to PCGHX user Kupferrohr for the tip.

But also with the Aspyr posting on X Resistance formed afterwards. A user politely asked if the posters could be put back into the game. Yes, they might be “slightly problematic”, but at least there is a warning at the beginning of the game – then you wouldn't have to censor the game. Other users also pointed out the now missing posters and demonstrated the differences on screenshots. A statement from the publisher or rights holder is still pending.
Tomb Raider Remaster 1-3 is less well received by users after the patch. The long-term rating is “very positive” 86 percent, the short-term rating is only “mostly positive” 75 percent. In one or two comments in the last few days the topic of censorship has also been raised.

Removed posters are coming back in Patch 3
Update from April 29, 2024: As the developer of Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, Aspyr, makes clear on its website, the Lara Croft posters removed with Patch 2 will find their way back into the game. A statement said: “Thank you to the Tomb Raider community for your continued feedback and support for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered. With the recently released Patch 2, we have several texture and graphics updates for the HD version As part of these updates, the posters in Sleeping With The Fishes (The Lost Artifact) were accidentally removed in the HD version of the game. This has been fixed and the textures will be restored in Patch 3. Accordingly, it was an oversight that the posters were thrown out of the game. Only the developer knows whether this is really true or whether the community feedback is simply responsible for the change.
